Hi Congies
This is for the People who want to host with his own PC a VC2-Server.  
If your PC behind a router you have to open some ports to play and that the others see your PC in the server list  , this is called portforwarding.

• go to portforward.com http://portforward.com/
  

• search for your router model or smilar model
  

• skip the advertisement with a click in the upper right corner
  

• scroll to Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 (it's just a template)
  

• Use following TCP-Ports for the portforwarding: 27900, 28900, 29900-29901, 5425-5450, 2300-2400, 5555, 6500, 6515, 6667, 3783, 15425-15430
  

• Use following UDP-Ports for the portforwarding: 3425-5440, 5725-5740, 5555, 6500, 6515, 6667, 6073, 13139, 2300-2400, 15420-15440, 27900, 28900
  

 
After this have fun  
Here are some Tips:  
A Portrange is 3425 - 5540 This are all Ports between 3425 to 5540 (3425,3426,3427...)
On some routers, you have to create two different rules because there too much ports. But you will get an error message from your router web interface (my router did it)
 
Whoever finds spelling errors in my text can keep them

Now, after nearly 5 years, my own server run and players can connect on me!
 
So its no prob anymore, to play vc2 and no open coop-servers are running! I simply host one!

Thanks for the fun and laughs my friends... I got my first kills in about 2 years! - and no they were not friendlies (though I did just about shoot Worm in the leg once and Chris in the ass lol )
 
Anyway... hope to get some more time in this weekend...
